Searching for Profiles
You can use the talent search to compare different talent profiles. When you search for profiles, the search results are ranked in the Match column, and a bar graph identifies the best match.
Tips:
• After performing a search, you can email an employee or several employees by selecting the check box beside their names and clicking the Email icon.
• To change the columns that display, click Select Columns and use the Add and Remove buttons to add and remove columns.
• If you find a profile of someone that fits an open job requisition, and you have Halogen Talent Acquisition licensed, you can add this profile to be considered for the job by selecting the employee and clicking Add to Job Req.
Perform a Quick Search
1 On the Home page, click Search for Talent shortcut.
2 Do one of the following:
• To perform a quick search, enter search keywords, and then click Search.
• To show all employees, click Search without entering any search keywords.
Halogen TalentSpace displays the employees you have permission to see.
Tip: You can print or export this information to Microsoft Excel to review.
Perform an Advanced Search
1 On the Home page, click Search for Talent shortcut.
2 Click New.
3 Click Advanced Search.
Tip: To view the permissions to perform a talent search, click the Permissions link.
4 Click the Add Search Criteria link.
5 From the Section list, select one of the options.
These options allow you to filter on talent profile information, such as Department, Job Code, Job Title, Direct Manager and so on. Depending on what you select in this step, the options in the Attribute list change.
For example, you can select Basic Information.
6 From the Attribute list, select one of the options and then enter or select the data you want to filter on.
Note: The list of attributes you see depends on the visibility and public settings set up by your organization.
For example, you can select Department and then select Marketing to see a list of employees in the Marketing department.
7 Click OK.
8 (Optional) Add, mark as required, edit, or delete a filter.
• To add another filter, repeat steps 4 to 7.
• To mark a filter as required, select the Required check box or to mark a filter as optional, clear the Required check box.
• To edit the filter, click the Edit icon and make any changes.

• To delete a filter, click the Delete icon beside the filter.

9 Do one of the following:
• To search all employees, select the All Employees radio button.
• To search a subset of employees, select the Subset radio button and then select either the Direct Reports check box, the All Reports check box, or both.
10 Click Search.
Halogen TalentSpace searches for information that matches the filters and displays all employees you have permission to see.
Tip: You can print or export this information to Microsoft Excel to review.
Save a Search
1 On the Home page, click Search for Talent shortcut.
2 Perform a search or open a saved search.
3 Do one of the following:
• To save a new search or to save changes to an existing search, click Save.
• To save an existing search with a new name, click Save As, enter a name for the search, and then click OK.
Open and Run a Saved Search
1 On the Home page, click Search for Talent shortcut.
2 Click Open and select one of the existing saved searches.
3 Click OK.
4 Click Search.
Delete a Saved Search
1 On the Home page, click Search for Talent shortcut.
2 Click Open.
3 Click the Delete icon beside a saved search.

4 Click Yes to confirm the deletion, and then click Cancel.
