Learning Activities
A learning activity is a learning unit, such as an online course. Learning activities can reside inside development plans, or can stand alone.
You can:
• add learning activities to an existing development plan, or you can add learning activities without first having a development plan
• view your own learning activities at any time, and management can view their employees’ learning activities as well
• edit a learning activity by updating its status, such as marking it as complete, withdrawing, and so on; adding a certification; or adding and changing results information, such as marking it as passed or failed. You can also enter comments for learning activities.
• delete a learning activity if it has a status of “Requiring Session Selection” or “Under Approval.” You cannot delete completed or approved learning activities.
Tip: Consider adding learning activities to improve performance. For example, suppose you have a development plan for improving communication skills. In this example, you can add learning such as a public speaking course to the development plan.
