Setting Up Secondary Managers
Secondary managers are managers that have limited, or unlimited, read and write access to your employee’s records. For example, you may have two managers in a matrix environment who manage the same employee. If you add a secondary manager, you can configure the level of access for this manager. For example, you can add a secondary manager that has read and write access to an employee’s goals but nothing else.
Notes:
• You can add secondary manager access to the records of your employees, which allows managers you select to assign goals, create development plans, and so on, for your direct reports. You can also grant access to specific types of employee records, such as goals, development plans, and so on.
• After you have added secondary managers, you can edit their access to your employee’s records (goals, development plans, and so on).
• While viewing the list of secondary managers, you can also see which types of employee records (goals, development plans, and so on) to which the secondary manager has access.
• You can remove secondary managers at any time.
• If you don’t see the Secondary Managers option, then your administrator has not made it available to you. Contact your administrator.
